My story

My name is Matias Beaulieu, I am 20 years old, and this is my story.

Currently, I am a student of art and jewelry at the École de Joaillerie de Québec. Art is now a part of my life and my spirit, but it was not always the case. 

When I was younger, during my high school career, I was part of the American football team, and art was far from my mind. Despite little interest, I finished high school with an honors degree in art and was selected to create the annual mural at my school. Afterwards, I decided to continue my studies and my athletic journey with the football team at Cégep de Thetford. I spent 2 years there without it being very conclusive on the athletic level, and academically, I was completely lost. So I decided to return to live in Quebec City for a fresh start. 

It was upon this return that I decided to fully embrace my artistic side. I enrolled in jewelry at the École de Joaillerie de Québec, and I think we can call it love at first sight. A real love and a growing passion led me to this boutique: De Beaum. At the same time, I decided to share my journey on social media since March 2024. I am starting my second year out of three in jewelry.

This shop is an opportunity for me to subsidize the costs of school and gain financial freedom to devote myself fully to my art and my projects!
